  1. Accompanying the Microsoft (R) Video for Windows (TM) product are
  2. certain display and audio driver software programs created by the
  3. manufacturers of such hardware.  Please note that such driver
  4. programs are not part of the Microsoft (R) Video for Windows product.
  5. Microsoft makes no warranties or claims regarding the quality,
  6. stability or performance characteristics of the driver programs,
  7. which are included AS IS WITHOUT WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THE WARRANTY
  8. OF MERCHANTIBILITY.  The included driver programs are the latest
  9. releases available to Microsoft, and are included for your
  10. convenience only.  Should you experience any difficulties with the
  11. driver programs, please contact the manufacturer of the display or
  12. audio device you are using with your computer system to inquire about
  13. obtaining a more recent version.

  16. The DRIVERS directory of the Video for Windows CD-ROM contains
  17. the latest releases of the following audio drivers:

  19.     Creative Labs Sound Blaster Pro
  20.     Creative Labs Sound Blaster Pro 2

  22.     MediaVision Pro AudioSpectrum (Orig)
  23.     MediaVision Pro AudioSpectrum Plus
  24.     MediaVision Pro AudioSpectrum 16

  26.     The Mediavision drivers for the Pro AudioSpectrum
  27.     Plus and 16 require the mvsound.sys file
  28.     to be copied to the c:\dev directory and an entry 
  29.     to be added to c:\config.sys.  Edit config.sys to reflect
  30.  
  31.     device=c:\dev\mvsound.sys /d:[dma_channel] /q:[irq]

  33.     where dma_channel is the direct memory access channel used
  34.     and irq is the interrupt used when setting up the board.

  40. To install an audio driver, use the Drivers option in the
  41. Windows Control Panel, select Add Unkown, and select the root
  42. directory of the Video for Windows CD-ROM.
